Some Goblins or Kobolds live deep under the earth, in the darkness. The mushrooms, that they eat are Special ones, that glow in the dark, so the goblins glow in the dark aswell. If you find some of These mushrooms out there, don't eat them or it might be that you glow in the darkness aswell (or just get this sinister look like this priestress does)
(Just joking - those goblins are my idea, not part of any mythology)
But the mushrooms and the freckles really glow in the dark.
