Description Seeing as how popular the dress appears to be I figured I'd do a before and after thing so you can see details and suchlike. This is the Half-Finished through to finished work. Make sure to check out the rest of my gallery for full shots of the finished thing.

After

Entirely handmade from scratch.

This is just beautiful! It is as it was meant to be; tattered and old-looking. Do you have a headpiece for this? I'd like to see that too.

Acryllic paint, tea leaves, a pair of scissors and some sand paper.

What did you do to stain it?

Wow! This is fantastic! I wish I had the money to commission you to make one for me but since I lost my job, I'm broke! But I just had to tell you that you did a wonderful job. You must be an amazing seamstress. Ever think of trying out for that "Project Runway" show? I bet you would win.

I do have one question. How did you create the exposed rib cage? It sort of looks like paper mache ribs but I can't tell. Are they permanently attached to the dress or do you have to put them on your body first and then the dress over them? Just curious.

Well, great work!!

I love it! The detail is amazing. You've combined the beauty of a wedding dress and the decay of a corpse very nicely. It's truly beautiful, astonishing.

Wow... this is the best Corpse Bride costume I've seen. Does it fit you? Are you gonna wear it for the first time you see the film or anything? My girlfriend, *KatrinaVT should wear the Emily costume I made for her, but she says it's too cold, what with the bodypainting and all as well *lol* Anyway, yeah - I've made one, too, but it's by far not this elaborate. Amazing details and presentation… I've seen a lot of people do reproductions of live action movie cosutmes but this is the first time I've seen such a lovely reproduction of a costume from an animated movie.
