All rivers leads to the ocean eventually was the thought running through Prince's mind as he ducked and dodged through the thicket following the sound of the creek. As the sound grew louder he got more impatient to get there.The sight of the water was better than the sound. It wasn't terribly much water streaming past the rocks, but it was enough to calm him down from most of his initial anger when his little paws hit the surface, making that satisfying splop!
There was a path running alongside part of the creek, the red and yellow leaves strewn across it. That was not Prince's path. His way was alternating between the rocks sticking up from the water and that sweet satisfying sound of splish-splosh whenever his paws pierced the surface, spooking the tiny fish to swim away.

As much as I'd like his adventure to take him through the forest, Prince is always going to be drawn to water - even though it is not his beloved salty water.

Those little shadows are some of the things I like about clear water, it's so interesting to watch when leaves float on by with the shadow trailing far behind
