Description During the first Gulf war an F-15E flown by Capt. Tim Bennett and Capt. Dan Bakke were hunting Scud missile sites when they scored an air to air kill with a 2000lb GBU-10 Paveway2 bomb.
The bomb designed for air to ground use was locked onto the MI 24 Hind when it was still on the ground, but by the time the bomb got to its target it was in the air and moving. Quite an impressive bit of accuracy. Full story here: [link]

4H to 9B on A3. The drawing depicts that aircraft with its Flight leader configuration for Scud hunting of 4 GBU 10 bombs and 4 sidewinders.

I think this is very very good.

I'm still feeling my way around here, but I'm seeing lots of great drawings like yours. I'll be back for sure.

The white bit under the shield is their but its a bit un-defined as it was so small to draw. I find it hard to get a good edge between light and a mid-tone areas because the blending seems to blur the boundry.

Draw a very small outline on the shield, then shade around it with the same shade as the outline. That should work next time. Thats how I always do the Air Combat Command Shield on the Tail. If you have a small enough eraser, you can erase that part out but you need a very small tipped eraser.

Just for the sake of future improvement, the only problem I can see is the right wing is just a bit too small.

I don't think you finished the 4th FW shield, it should have a white area under it shouldn't it?

Thanks for the kind words, I stalled progresswise near the end because I had to fix cars and do decorating, the summer weather in the UK also appeared for one whole week a few days back which was another distraction!
I have anther drawing in mind but its going to take a lot of research again, something British and from the Cold War era perhaps.

Very, very nice. Been well worth the wait!
Similar killer angle to the one I did back in '92 but opposite direction and this is much, much better than mine
Without trying to sound like a teacher, I can see vast improvement in each piece you finish. I love that darker 9B shading too which gives it that
photographic look.

Once again, Superb! more of please!!!
