Ok...thought I was done before but now I am COMPLETELY done..ahem. I rubbed off the excess sealant and black oxide with a nylon scrub brush until it had the classic gunmetal finish. I am much happier with it now...more uniform finish, no blotches, the metal shines through, and it still resists most of the rust!Related content

I'd totally buy one as well (although a version in a lighter weight metal might be a good idea if you ever plan to make a whole bunch for sale)

Oop! I missed this DONE DONE version. Looks very nice! The black oxide gives it more depth, I think, which I like. If you end up selling this, don't you dare undersell yourself.

Thanks very much ^.^! I made it on a lathe from a big cylinder of steel. It took hours because I had to bore out the center :/...but I'm glad I did it. I thought the one you made is great though! I like the patina much better..I have to work on mine. Glad you liked it :3 and hope you keep cosplaying because yours are awesome! Especially Haruko!

I really appreciate it though!! I'm gonna do a couple more Haruko costumes, but there comes a time in every young Haruko cosplayers life that they realize they should probably do different characters instead of the same one in a million different costumes haha. Thank you so much though ^_______^.

Thanks a lot! In rl its I polished it and made it shiny again because the black oxide was rubbing off lol...idk if im going to do a different kind of black oxide or leave it shiny. depends on what u ppl think
