This was worn to MetroCon 2011 on Saturday, around the con and for our Kuroshitsuji panel. If you made it, I'm really happy! If not, we might be doing another next year! It was amazingly fun. It was better than we anticipated, and regardless, Metro itself was a damn blast. Every year it gets better and better.
I hope all of you had fun at Metro if you went! And if you have a chance, go next year! 8D It's bound to be AWESOOOME.
Anyway.
The Noah's Ark Circus arc of the Kuroshitsuji manga really impressed deeply upon me. It was so sick and gory and fuuuuucked uuuup, and the fact that the Baron Kelvin was so obsessed with Ciel for his smile is something that I'll always remember--just like the way Lizzy remembers his smile, and so on and so forth.
Something else that I really loved was in the latest chapter of Kuro (58), Lizzy's brother tells Ciel that if he dies, he wouldn't care because he doesn't want Lizzy to marry Ciel anyway. Ciel just smiles the biggest smile ever to be seen on his face and says, "I'll be sure to make it back, then."
It seems Ciel is coming to life more and more in the manga.
I think that means somebody's dying soon.
I can't wait. ♥

The Circus arc was definitely my fav so far. Gooosh the manga just makes me so happy Cx I hope to cosplay Sebastian as Black sometime soon. Squeeeee~.

I'm a sucker for real historical gothics, lol... And I loooove how boldly fucked-up Kelvin was. The children dying, the bone-grinding, the references to Ciel's background as a prisoner of the deliciously dark Victorian-era obsession with the occult...
I loved that, lol. I mean, I liked the circus characters, too - they were so fleshed out, and I was very sad when they all died - but I think what really got me was the sliver of real madness we got to see in Ciel.

Woah, that is really awesome. I find that fascinating actually. Im sad to say I dont know much about historical gothic but I do enjoy the Victorian era and occult histories.
And with that I do agree! I remember thinking about something of that sort the other day, with some part of the anime i had watched, about finally seeing Ciel crack in some way (as you say "the sliver of real madness" which i love by the way xD) was really beautiful to me and different from his usual character.
i say that's something i highly enjoy! When a character who was one thing or a few similiar things, breaks the norm for some moment and is almost something else. Beautiful i say

OH MY GOD SOMA. The girl who played Soma is a long-time friend of *ShinraiFaith 's, and a total spaz. The good kind. The clever kind. So when she agreed to be our Soma, we were so excited--and totally unaware of everything she'd planned. The banana thing? Only I knew about that, and I didn't even know where it was going, lmao. She's great. I thought, "Oh God, I'm screwed, I have to be moody but I'm gong to be cracking up." But that was what we wanted the panel to be--improv and interaction with the crowd, and we had such a great audience. ♥
By the by, lmao, I was reading parts of this comment to *ShinraiFaith and her reaction was: "...Wait, this Claude is talking to you? Should I step in? /possessive stare."

LOL the banana part was so win, I still can't believe it was improvised xDDD All the same, bravo. It was the best panel ever. Plus my good friend Elspeth was classic Lizzy in it, which was hilarious cuz she's like that naturally, it was just so perfect. And also usually Im all ADHD about panels and I ditch after the first 4 minutes, but that panel was so entertaining. PLUS You guys had candy. You guys be geniuses, candy is like crack at conventions. Lmao heres the funny thing about that, after your panel, another Ciel had called me over to their table that had tea and everything to talk awhile, and her Sebastian reacted the same way towards me. Seb was all like "Hey, Claude! How are you?" at first, and then Ciel wanted to take pics with me and was all fangirly then Seb wasn't so nice after that xD I lol'd hard.
Alois died laughing cuz I was like *sadface* "Whut I do..." xD Claude apparently has such a terrible rep. xD

I half-think we might be getting so much Lizzie build-up and back-story 'cause she's gonna kick it. :/ Half of me wants to see that, because it'd do such a number on Ciel, emotionally; it'd be incredibly interesting. But the other half of me thinks it would be heartbreaking...

I dunno. For a while, it seemed to be winding down... and then it really picked back up again with this bit. It's hard to tell what is and isn't filler with Toboso-sensei... that is to say, if this "zombie" arc (and/or the murder mystery arc) is just an attempt to keep the ball rolling, now that the series is popular, or if there really are plot-clues woven into it. Either way, I'm having... issues... with the manga right now; I hope we get back to the main plot soon, because it makes me sad to be rather apathetic towards the comic. :/
I admit, I'm kinda hoping for it, too-- but at the same time, I feel bad just saying it, 'cause when a SebaCiel shipper says "I want Lizzie to die," there are... you know, assumed connotations. Which usually, haha aren't the case for me, I swear. XD;;;;
