"There are a lot of different kinds of the Undead. There are the ones that never chose to be--haunts, demons, golems. There are the natural ones--angels, fairies, spirits. And there are the ones that are Undead by choice--vamps, bodyless souls, reapers.

"Not all of the Undead are malicious. In fact, the majority of them are pretty arbitrary. Moreover, they're everywhere. Whether you believe or not--whether you're religious or atheist, spiritual or faithless--they're everywhere.

"Have you ever felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand up? Have you ever had that primal instinct that someone, something, is watching you? Following you?

"That's not what I'm talking about.

"The Undead surround you--even when you're not having paranoid, impulsive suspicions. Beyond all the stupid folklore, campfire ghost stories, horror movies, and tall tales--all the myths, legends, spooks, and scare tactics--all the fiction that comes from such a small grain of truth--beyond it all, the Undead exist in the same way they have for centuries. The rules are the same, save for a few edits made here and there to, of course, fit the changing times of the world, but the basic system is still in use. In whatever context, the Society is still in practice, and the Desk is still the first thing you see after you realize you've died.

"The Psyche is what connects the mind to the body. The Psyche is the soul, the spirit, the 'breath of life'. Once it separates from the body, a person dies. Some become haunts, some become spirits, some become ghosts, and some become reapers.

"The latter is the most important."

Just a heads-up:

I like the messy/sketchy look, which is why this is not coloring-book perfect.

I can't believe I'm actually uploading some original artwork. e_e;

So, yeah, we got hit by the winter storm here and we're not snowed-in, per se, but school's been closed and the roads aren't ideal, so we've been cooped up in the house for two days. ~ShinraiFaith 's been beading the Garnet bodice non-stop, so yesterday I went on a drawing spree, and this came about, miraculously. xD

And while I always think that my artwork looks better in its pencil and ink glory, staying in my sketchbook, I decided to dick around with this one. I added a blue tint and colored from there, added some wallpaper (found @ ~labuschin ) and scribbled a little bit to balance it out... And there you go.

Maybe one day ~ShinraiFaith and I will get a neat little tablet. Probably when we move out, I guess.
