Swing you sinners~
The short animation that inspired Cagney Carnation's unique dance style.Ā I already had the image in mind but tha's to encouragement from I decided to go full speed ahead. Though as I do these I realize that this is gonna end up and a 3 part series. "Sway" being Night, "Swing you Sinners" being afternoon, and I have yet to pick a day. In short the group of them results to " The Dance of the Hours".
Outfit wise I went for a subtle simple look sing the actual swing dance is very active. Cagney himself is wearing very loose fitted clothing and Hilda is wearing a variation of her traditional wear in the game. I tried to stay correct to the time period for the clothing say for Hilda's head band.
Cagney and Hilda both belong to M.D.H.R studios

^^ you and my mom were both encouraging me to draw Cag's original dance style. I had a hard time figuring out a pose that not only worked for cags but Hilda as well. Mostly since I draw Cagney quite physically large height wise in comparison to Hilda. But I'm glad it worked in the end, and now it's on to a few of my pet projects (for tumblr) and the final of the 3 paintings of the dance of the hours.
