Why can't you draw dark horses in a lighter background? I can't see a thing :/

How can you ask so many questions about art done 5 years ago...

How can you not answer such a simple question, but change the topic?
It doesn't matter if the art was done 5 years ago, you should of known by then how to adjust backgrounds even when you were drawing in the first place.
This is not to sound as rude, but curiously confused person who only wants an answer from a person who drew this.
Even artist themselves receive a complain, nothing goes magically like in a fairy tale.
Just saying the obvious.
If you think telling a harsh truth is considered rude, then be so.

Simple questions are hard on someone that works a full time job (70 to 80 hours a week) and doesn't exactly want the 3rd degree on their art to begin with.Β Β

But if you must have an answer.Β  It's harder to see detail of a dark subject on a pale background.... That's just how contrasting light works.Β  Not even mentioning that this was supposed to be a Dark Horse in a Dark Background because it's set at night.Β

Stating that this is art from 5 years ago isn't a change in subject, it's a comment on what exactly you are wanting me to do with a file from something done years ago? I don't even have the file for this on my current computer any longer.Β  Also I've changed as an artist since this was done so there's no way I can remember exactly what or why I did what I did on that specific piece of art.Β

If that doesn't answer your question, I don't know what to tell you.Β  I've already spent too much time that I could have been doing something more productive on this conversation.

Thank you for your answer.

Just to add up, I was asking about the art, not a job you work at.

Yes, I got my answer, with details I never even asked for. I meant the job part.

Asking me how I can not answer a simple question is why you got an answer about my job. Because I don't have time for this. Please kindly fuck off.

Like take this horse for example:.Β fulociraptor.deviantart.com/ar…
It's BLACK, in a LIGHT background, but somehow it is well seen, how is that?
You said "because it was even harder to see with a light background...."

But somehow that black horse is very well seen in a lighter background.

Seriously?
I asked you that question earlier not now.
You just showed to everyone how immature you are.

In fact, youΒ could have just said the truth, instead of defending yourself...

You should have said something like this:

Well this drawing I made a while ago, I didn't think about the dark background interfering with the visibility of the picture too much back then because I wasn't very experienced as an artist yet.
You are right it was indeed a bit strange to draw a dark horse with a dark background haha, but if you want to see more skillful drawings feel free to look at my more recent work, which is more fleshed out haha

But book, you have to run around and say you made this drawing awhile ago when I never asked you this, say you have a job that you work oh so very long when I never even asked about a job.
Seriously, an artist must learn to take criticism and learn how to maturely answer back.
But all you do is block people and act so immature that even you would be ashamed of yourself in the future for this.
Block me again, and you just showed the whole world again how immature you have become.
Don't be angry about criticism because you won't always receive nice comments, those other people who said nice work or stuff, only said that because they didn't wish to tell you the truth and let you just swing around in fantasies until somebody told you the truth and woke you up from your fairy tale.

Also, I suppose now you are even more pissed off because I told you the truth even more, good.
Just show your immatireness even more.

Good day princess who cannot take criticism.

An artist can take criticism when it's asked for... not when someone is harassing them. I don't care what your opinion is, again because I didn't ask for it... so really, please go away before I report you.

It's completely not immature for someone to use duplicated account to try to prove a point to someone that doesn't care what they have to say. Goodbye.

Asked for?
Seriously?
You posted an art piece, I gave my opinion.
Harassing you?
Seriously?
I wasn't the one who said "fuck off" and I wasn't the one who got mad over my asked questions, plus, you have been proven wrong anf dark horse's ARE seen in lighter backgrounds, duh.
Go ahead, report me, I have nothing to loose.
This will only FURTHER prove that you are immature on this criticism.
Even if the artist doesn't ask for criticism he/she gets it, so don't go running around proving things I never even asked for in the first place for you to say to me, such as about your job and when this piece was made.
If you were more mature in this situation, you would already said something mature, but I somehow only see things said about things I never even asked of you to tell me.

Okay, I may have been 'immature' but I'm now asking nicely that you leave me alone. I don't care about your opinion, not do I want it from someone whom, in my opinion, is a sub-par artist.

And yes, harassment is what I would call this. Harassment: to annoy or bother (someone) in a constant or repeated way. I would say that is what you are doing. My language towards you, while vulgar, is simply a way of dealing with that harassment. Me giving you an answer, even if it's not the answer you wanted is still an answer. Repeatedly pummeling me with similar questions will not change my answer or the art you are asking about. Finally criticism of artist is only acceptable if you have some sort of suggestion or construction to help that person grow in their practice. For example, I could have used more white or blue in my shading to make the horse's coat stick out. It might have made it easier to see but I will never know because I don't care enough to find out.

So again please leave me alone, I do not wish to continue this discussion further.

This is a beautiful rendering of a horse~ I wish the image weren't so dark however...I know I'd be able to see more detail if it were brighter : <
