"How do you think she's going to fair?" Birdcatcher stables owner Janice Wright asked as she walked with Jockey Jennifer Dunn to the Sabino mares stall.

"I think she should do fine, maybe even better than fine," Jennifer answered.

"It's just that she's never been in this sort of race before. Have you been working her jumps?" Janice wondered.

"Yes, she's been worked everyday. She's in wonderful condition. Stop worrying." Jennifer answered as she patted the mares muscular neck.

Soon after the mare was tacked and ready to approach the field, Jennifer mounted the mare almost unable to because of the mares excitement for the upcoming event. She rode up to join the other members of the race. They all started off at a trot coming up on the starting line when they heard the loud horn signaling the start, they all bolted. Jennifer struggled to hold the mare back, "Easy Wen, we don't want to be the front runners for the race", as she continued to hold the huge animal back.
