If I were to drink that water I'd still retain my state of mind because I'd be listen to a really awesome song and pure awesomeness beats mind warping anyday.

I don't wanna sound jerky, but here's a few things that can help. your scanning is leaving grey marks on the paper. which tend to leave empty spaces which won't get paint bucket filled right.
A way you can stop this, is by inking your work with a good permanent marker pen. (a cheap 1.99 2 pack one works well) then you can lighten and contrast the scan so none of the splotches are there easier. which leads to a better paint bucketing.
I'd really suggest a medium or B tip pen. You can get that at a regular art store, but they run about 3 bucks a pop. When you darken the lines, your art'll pop out more.
But the character in the center is a good choice. keeps the eye drawn to her. The speech bubbles really should be bubbled in, for ease of reading, but your text choice is good.
But it's not a bad piece, I don't wanna sound like i'm bein a jerk, but these are things that can really open up options for you a lot.
