Yeeeah and their last evolution may be one of the ugliest Pokemon who ever existed. Poliwag family all the way! (even though they all looked the same, still better :I)

ahah i'm fine with Trubbish as well. Garbodor is just completely inexcusable though. Nothing about it is enjoyable; the colors, the shape, the concept...
i'm mostly getting over my instant shock of it and warming up to some of them. but yeah, i think gen 5's designs are mostly hit-or-miss. i don't really like that some of them are essentially just objects with faces, although they can work (ie Chandelure's family). i'm just so so disappointed in their lack of originality for those little ice cream shits.
which isn't to say that the originals were all entirely original...like Voltorb and all. but at least those unoriginal ones were a smaller percentage.

Yeah, Garbodor is a complete mess. Literally.
The truth is that I also started to like quite a few of dem new Pokemans. But there are still too much that I really dislike, either because they're too complicated and detailed, or just stupid like those ice cream dudes. What I loved about the first gens was that they were so simple! Charizard for example, was simply a dragon with a burning tail, that was all. Now we have a bipedal fat pig with fire on random places that can fight like a sumo, with various pointless marks on its body. Bleh.

dude i so agree with you there. D: it's like most movies today or most people creating their own characters. they want everything to be so out there and original that it just ends up losing all of its personality and pleasantry.

buuuut on a positive note, I absolutely love some of these guys and how a bit of a change of style is working for them. c: like Scraggy, Scrafty, and Woobat are now on the list of my all-time favorites. and the B/W games themselves are some of the best so far!
...just not quite better than HG/SS. That one has to be my favorite.

And yeeeah I agree, B/W were the best games so far, story-wise and music-wise. Though I also liked HG/SS better.

Yeeeah Kanto and Unova are both first music-wise, though really every Gen had some tracks I'll remember FOREVUR
I dislike the standard wild- and trainer-battle themes of Gen V though :c

oh really? yeah i guess they can be kind of grating. xD i like how they got rid of the annoying beep you get when your HP is really low and instead made it into an EMERGENCY song

To be honest, I dislike the song they replaced the beeps with. Not that it doesn't sound good, but I hate it when it interrupts an awesome song like the gym leader battle. :c I wish they would still use the beeps but, like, put them in the same rhythm as the background music or something
