I've been checking/listening to a lot of ranters lately, and pretty much all of them tend to immediately dis/hate a certain character by how they look. These so-called 'edgy' ones in particular. Personally, I don't think it's fair if a character is judged by how they look, just like real life. I feel like it should be the personality that brings you to your final conclusion on what the character is.

(E.g. If a character were to have a black and red colour scheme and looked very dark, but overall had a very bubbly and outgoing personality, does that still count as being edgy?)

If you do happen to have an 'edgy' looking character, as long as you are happy with both the design, personality and backstory then you should be proud. There is no need to feel like what you have done is simply not worth it. It is your creation after all.

(Also, why is edgy a bad thing? I mean, there are edgy people out there in the world and yet here we are acting as if they're non-existent, and that this is new? Also, shouldn't we let others draw what they wish to draw? If this is their character, why are we acting as if they should get rid of it?)

(side note: My oc will be white and grey till I figure out their colour pallet.)
