i normally just post art occasionally on this account, but i wanted to tackle this topic since its recently been getting on my nerves due to the fact ai art has progressed and now looks more genuine, and the fact its starting to appear more and more.

ai art is not art. and it will never be. it doesnt matter whether you came up with the idea yourself, you still shoved it into a machine and took credit for the idea and nothing more. its not yours, and it will never be art.
making art is all about coming up with ideas, yes. but you sit down, take a pen, pencil, paintbrush, marker, or anything you can use to make art, and work on it. if you didnt put effort into it, whats the point? its all about looking at your masterpieces you put effort into, and appreciation how much time and effort it took you to make that. only coming up with something and telling a machine to make it for you doesnt take any time or effort. plus, its not even yours. it's technically the machines.

that doesnt mean the machine gets to be cut any slack. machines are not like the human brain. the human brain is a complex organ that does so many things for us: it keeps us alive every day, and it can help us complete tasks, such as doing chores, playing a game, or in this case, creating art. the brain is responsible for me being able to type this whole essay down, as the brain sends signals all around our body telling our organs and body parts what to do. ai is not the same. ai was created and taught by humans themselves, and due to that, its able to do things we are able to do. but if you can sit down, take a drawing utensil, and practice creating art and appreciating the time and effort that it took for your brain to help you create masterpieces, why would your brain just tell a clone of itself (ai) to do all of that? what's the point? ai art isnt even good. you can call it out easily, and once people find out, they're not gonna give you any credit for it. because you didnt put any time or effort into it. you wouldnt deserve the credit if you didnt do anything.

also, here's a fun fact one of my discord friends found out: since ai art is unethical and you cant copyright ai generated images (ai made it, not you), its all free! this means if you see someone's ai generated oc, you can go ahead and just yoink it! go ahead! try it out for yourself! they cant do anything about it, they didnt copyright it or make it! its not theirs!

as an artist myself, i havent yet experienced the anguish of having my art stolen and having to argue with some stubborn kid or thief for them to delete what is not theirs, but many other artists out there do. and with the advancement of ai art, people have been stealing art that isnt theirs and putting it into ai to reform it, such as in tiktok filters, or websites, and train ai even more. because one of these days, if we dont stop ai art, real art and ai art will become indistinguishable. fight back against these generators, protest against the use of ai and the creation of ai art.

in conclusion, ai art is stupid. and so are the people who make it. and together, we can fight against ai art. call out ai generated art, yoink it, protest against the advancement of ai art, go bananas! its our job as living, breathing, artists with brains to make sure ai art doesnt progress any more, and we can live fearlessly as artists, creating masterpieces, without worrying about our art being impersonated or outnumbered.
