The night's sketches from Friday's livestream.There's a few attempts at designing a visual effect for Ascendence, and then I spent the rest of the night drawing whatever came to mind.

Another vote for those of us who agree with the sign, despite Katie's eyes loudly and hilariously voicing her unspoken insistence to the contrary. But Sam would be a close second in my book. It's refreshing you portray Sam as being comfortable enough with her own physique to genuinely care for friends she believes to be cuter than she is (although she's easy on the eyes by me too.) I know she's drawn Fran's attention to her "serious wootie" before, so I imagine Sam will eventually have occasion to offer the same compliment to Katie.
Strangely, the interaction between these two here and previously reminds me somewhat of the relationship between Empowered!'s title character and Ninjette. Jette is Emp's friend and believes Emp to be far more shapely than her and never lets her forget it, especially where Emp's beau Thugboy is concerned. Helps that Katie has hips like Emp too (then again, so does Fran. Fran cosplaying Ryouko from "Kill la Kill"? I rest my case, your honor. Although we KNOW Sam's gonna give Fran serious grief over it.)
I know you thought the middle special effect was an epic fail, but I rather liked it. I could see it being used for a casting going horribly but hilariously wrong...instead of blasting energy is pops bushels of popcorn! That's what the white stuff looked like to me. Who knows? Might actually prove to be a useful skill someday. Just hope your opponent is hungry!
