Makes me think of the end credits of "Cowboy Bebop", very mood setting and I like the look.
Oh and that poster in the background? Where's the fox/wolf lady from?

Really, really prettyn piece of work, and it looks good even without any specific colours. I love how you could bring up the mood, you can almost touch the story without knowing it!
WONDERFUL! <3 ^_^

^ ^ Very nice!
The black and white coloring really adds to the somber mood of the picture.
Excellent work!

Am I the only one to notice the slightly out of place fox girl stripping in the background? Does she not know it's raining? Or is it supposed to be a poster? I can't really tell.
The rain looks good though. Did you do it with noise/blur/transparency?

No offence Jo, but do you honestly think that in an image that's supposed to have a somewhat serious theme I'd include a fox girl stripping in the rain in a window's reflection? It's a poster on a wall, in this case probably advertising some sort of racing event or tv show. The pic/poster itself isn't finished, thus the lack of any text surrounding it, though if I were to make this a fully coloured image I'd go into such details. Basically, the image is stock. It may seem out of place, but it's only a poster (and a temporary one at that).
Anyway, the rain was done by filling a layer with black and setting it to screen. Then I ran the Mezzotint filter (Filter>Render>Mezzotint) and set it to Coarse Dots. Then I used the motion blur, adjusted the levels, and duplicated and resized it. This leaves two layes of rain, one for the background behind the characters, and one in the foreground over everything else.

Wow, chill out. I'm pretty sure you get enough positive reactions to all your work to not be fazed by me (of all people) being uncertain about a detail in your picture. If my tone rattled your cage I'm sorry but that was just the first thing I noticed. I thought it might be a poster, hence I said, but I was just saying it was unclear and my eye was drawn to it because of the detail compared to the starkness of the characters in the foreground.
Well that's basically what I said, and there's no need to treat me like a retard, I know where things are in photoshop. I was just saying good work with it in a way slightly more intelligent then 'wow amazin it's so c00l lolz!11!' If you'd rather I kept my thoughts to myself I will, you're obviously far above taking comments off me.

Whoa hold up, sorry if my tone came off as sounding too offended. It just seemed a little like I was being accused of something I wasn't doing so I had to set the record straight. Sorry if I was too harsh there, you know I think of you as someone to give me great critique and I certainly don't think of you as a retard.
I guess I misread your intentions as you misreading mine. I'm not usually defencive about my art so my apologies again.
Okay, so I'll start again.
As is apparent now, it's just a poster. Probably should've left that one there, but now you know. As for the rain effect, I was just explaining exactly how I did the effect. To be totally honest it was a copy/paste from an earlier comment, though I probably shouldn't have done that since I was going into walkthrough-level detail. Still, I like to be very clear about when I explain things so there's little confusion later. Heh, at least you know now, right?
Anyways, sorry again for the outburst. I actually do appresiate your input on any of my art, particularly the heavier critique as it helps me notice things I may not have before. I suppose I had wondered if you were going to comment on this one, and with you pointing out the poster first in that way led to me to think I was being accused. So again, sorry about my tone, and I'm never above taking comments from anybody. Even I make mistakes. Truce?
