Description
Not for the first time, and probably not for the last, Zoey found herself getting arrested after getting into yet another barfight in yet another town. No one knows whether she's the one that started it, but as beaten up as she looks, she came out far better than her antagonisers.Why the finger? Well, going through the system a few times lends one to a bit of cockiness. Being told not to cover the date on your card gives an excuse to show defiance.
I figure this was probably a short while before she met Mace in the story, so a few years prior to the main events. This is the censored version with her "Have A Nice Day" smiley. I might post the uncensored one with her gesture of not-giving-a-damn a bit later.

THIS is destined to be a classic! Certainly enjoyed being on the stream with you and our other friends while you finished this up. I recall saying something to the effect of "hey, that'll make a fantastic comic book cover for White Shadow, but it's certainly not newsstand friendly!" And then T-Kay :iconttothekay makes his suggestion at the last minute to put the happy face Zoey has embroidered into the back pocket of her booty shorts over the rude gesture. To quote one of my childhood heroes, "I love it when a plan comes together." Simply EPIC! Truly your best piece to date. And that's sayin' something in view of your laudable body of work. If this doesn't make raving fans out of the whole wide world, nuthin' will. Great job; can't wait to see more soon!

Thanks very much! It was suggested that I add more battle damage to her while I was working on it, so split knuckles and extra scratches made sense.

It was kinda fun to work on the bruising. Gonna have to experiment with a few more things like that in future, not that I've got plans to draw a lot of bruised people, heh
