When I was younger, I used to watch a cartoon called "The Adventures of Mowgli" based on the Jungle Book. Turns out this cartoon came from Japan (so I guess weeaboos would call it anime), and is called "Shonen Mowgli." Apparently Nippon Studios made a lot of cartoon/anime series based on classic literature.Anyways I always loved the animals in the series. Esp. the wolves. I doubt there will be a lot of fans around, but here's some lineart in case you feel like making a wolf fan character. It's from a screenshot of two characters' pups.
The girls have two eyelashes, the boys one. The bottom one should be usable in Paint. Download for full size and right-click to save.

I found a copy of the English version online to download, so I've been watching it recently. Brings back a lot of good memories.
How far along are you in the series?

I can't really remember. I stop watching it a few years ago. I think I stopped after the one where Akela dies. Or was it the one after that? I stopped because I did not want to see the ending where Mowgli has to leave the jungle. I was sad that it was ending soon.

The ending isn't that sad. It is sad somewhat but not too much. You already know Mowgli is going to leave anyways. I think the fact the series ended was more sad, not how it ended. But, yeah, it's hard seeing that moment. I still like it though because it was actually pretty happy, hopeful, and light-hearted in the final scene.
Akela's death was probably the saddest moment in the series in and of itself.
