My version of Supergirl for The Engine's Remake/Remodel 5 Thread.As I said in the thread, My Supergirl combines the beauty and intelligence of Helen Slater in "Supergirl" (1984) and the Beauty and rebellion of Helen Slater in "The Legend of Billie Jean"(1985). But, without the Pat Benatar music.

(anyone not as old as me has no idea what the hell i'm talking about.)

P.S. (sorry for double posting)-- the coloring rocks. I love the background and the way you inked/colored her. The perspective makes this look like a photograph.

I never told you how much I went woahz when I saw this the first time (and faved). It's great!
She's so cool! Her expression is so cocky only I know she could totally cash the check she's putting up. Is she ready to throw that rock? Anyway, the overall grungy/fall of it all reminds me of the teens I knew up north used ot hang in these cracked and rusty lots with nothing in them (which I found to be beautiful) or how a playground is even when you're too young to care. It's like, you can be anywhere and still have fun; she looks like she got tripped in a city playground and is giving whoever the count of run to go. Totally delicious!
And her shoes! Her costume!
I don't know who the Slater lady you're talking about--unless I do and just don't know her name--but if she ended up being this I guess she did the character justice. Your Supergirl is a lot more likable the canon one right now. She probably doesn't have retractable spikes for bones, a grating backstory, or a cool way of getting angry.

Hmm, le'me think...I think it was all acrylic washes, like watercolor, but with layers of transparent color. Now I'm trying to do painted mixed with digital. Fun! Thank yooouuuuu!!!

id agree with making supergirl more like this, but I reckon i'd drop the cape and give her a hooded top with a zipper. for the moddy hidden face batmna styleyness, and for the classic shirt opening to s logo riff. And maybe goggles.
fudge it, im gonna draw that version myself when i can be bovvered. Definitely liking the chucks though.
