The Moonglow in Lake George NY didn't quite go as planned for as soon as the balloons got inflated, they had to drop because of high winds but I managed to get a couple nice shots including this one.Related content

A fantastic shot! We like staying over in Lake George, it's great that it's not that far for us to go from Vermont.

Where in Vermont...I love Vermont, truly one of my favorite states. Sadly this is one of the few shots we got that night because just as the balloons were all finally up and ready, we got shear winds from the lake and they had to drop them quickly. Lake George is great too, It's so calming on a summer night to walk along the shore and people watch.

Ludlow!! Going towards Bellow's Falls. Oh I love it out there, we go to the Rockingham Vermont country store all the time when we go down there. My hubby is crazy about trains and the Green Mountain is one of his favorites.

Yep yep! My hubby and his brother grew up in Ludlow and rode the trains thru there when they ran full time. An era gone by.... But I am glad they have the Green Mountain Flyer going. It's neat they can take our neice on it and get her excited about trains.

Oh yes, I love the backdrop of the mountains at the Bellows Falls station and the restored station at Chester too. My hubby taught our girls to love the trains too, at least the riding of them and watching them. If I had my chance and could bring my family and friends, I would have moved to Vermont long ago but thankfully it's close enough to visit frequently.

Why thank you very much. The Adirondack Balloon festival has a picture contest every year and wouldn't you know the picture that won this year is almost identical to mine except for the angle! Ah well, woulda shoulda coulda.

Thanks so much! I love this event although the balloons weren't up for more than fifteen minutes because the wind suddenly picked up.

I love balloon glows! There were usually a hundred or so participating in the Albuquerque Int'l Balloon Fiesta each year. Such an amazing sight!

They are fun. The wind here wasn't cooperating so we didn't get much of a chance...now Albequerque has an idea. The lake winds rather haven't been kind the last couple years, they should move it back to the airport and involve as many balloons as they can. That would look great...
