May I ask what you did to edit it, to give it that really.. sharp, toned down feeling. (Dunno)

in lightroom (using raw file) made 2 copies one with slight adjustments and teh other with a 300 filter added to it to give the gritttiness to it both were then layered in photoshop with a soft light layer over teh '300' one then copy merged and then sharpened selecticely to give this look - you do however need a really good quality pic in teh 1st place to get teh look hope this helps
