I've always loved kites. So majestic the way they soar. Lovely capture (:

and this one is one of a kind... amazingly beautiful. they have strange territorial life, imperial eagles fly high, then buzzards and then kites. they circle in the air and when other of their kind intrudes they fight.

"Of all courtship rituals in the animal kingdom, the most spectacular by far is that of the bald eagle. The male and female climb to dizzying heights and then ...join in free fall, plummeting toward earth, locked in each others embrace, separating only at the very last moment." ~the big year movie

after taking this shot i was dancing to death

My God! That would be absolutely spectacular to watch!
I see you are very much into birds. I would suggest you watch one of my favorite documentaries, "Winged Migration".
I'm sure you will enjoy it

the passion has been expanding lately, in 1st quarter of the year it becomes birding, in march to july it becomes big cats and finally the end of year becomes bugs and insects and dragonflies.
jotted down the name of documentary, will hit back when i've watched it

It must be used to see you guys. Hopefully, your country doesnΒ΄t chase them away or mistreat them, so they can stay there

furstripe In reply to Morgan-Lou [2012-02-25 07:05:01 +0000 UTC]

actually they sometimes do the uneducated and other people dont know what animals do for us, they just shoot them or encage them and even trophy hunting :s. i heard that they shot a common leopard and then killed it only for their sake. for instance they have almost made the vultures extinct here and due to absence of vultures we are more prone to diseases because when an animal dies in the open, only kites/crows are available to decompose.

Well, we all have a role in this world to help make changes in the right direction, and educate the ignorant ones who have no idea of the consequences of their misdeeds

furstripe In reply to Morgan-Lou [2012-02-25 20:38:06 +0000 UTC]

yeah you are right. but sometimes we just want to intimidate our presence. like i once went to safari and the folks told me that most of the times people come and throw stones at lions and scare them. thats just something called sickness.

Morgan-Lou In reply to furstripe [2012-02-25 20:41:09 +0000 UTC]

Provoking defenseless wild animals can backfire on stupid people: that is why some accidents do happen in open animals parks and people get eaten alive if they push too much!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

furstripe In reply to Morgan-Lou [2012-02-25 20:48:05 +0000 UTC]

exactly same thing happens to them. the lions attack people...
