Bird: Russet Sparrow (Passer rutilans)Well out of sheer nostalgia of birds I found a couple of good shots in my previous tours. This one was the closest I could get.

What a lovely bird, much prettier with all that orange brown than our House sparrows if you ask me (not to discredit them of course). Amazing that you managed to get so close!

Yeah russet sparrows are smaller, cooler, more melodious and often resort in cool (hilly places)...
btw I see neither russet nor common sparrows. This place now has all of "tree sparrows"...

No problem, I know what it feels like! I'm doing great these days; just came back from a wonderful vacation in Ibiza.. still not completely 'landed' mentally

Wow tourism - i miss it. It must have been fun. Ibiza sounds like fun place...
I'm now almost transformed into research, losing bird enthusiasm and getting into tension of finding research gap for some research.
Btw when is your book coming out - can't wait to see signed copy

Yeah, we saw our fair share of eccentric holiday-seeking people... and the ones that delivered. We mostly kept away from the big towns though, we were glad to escape the tourism 
As for the book, noΒ idea. I've been waiting on it for forever as well. Things are going extremely slow, with very few updates. Quite frustrating for me and the other artists who have put so much time and hard work in, not to mention the people who gave money to get a copy.

Wow thats harsh of them. Similar thing happened with me, about an interview in photography journal. they took most of my full res pictures and then never replied.
But your work is really outstanding, it deserves to be exhibited. If i had your hands I would have been Jimmi Hendrix of drawing.

Yeah, I understand they're busy and that it's a lot of work, but at least knowing the status quo would be helpful. I guess the book will be there, eventually, but when exactly is anyone's guess at the moment.. Gotta be patient
