Today marks day 18 of me trying out the new "Deep Sea July" prompt. Special thanks to AlexisJ153984 for the prompt.

This one is a sperm whale, named so for a special organ in its melon known as the spermaceti, which adds internal echo or resonator clicks to the sonar echolocation clicks emitted by the respiratory organs. This makes possible the whale sensing the motion of its prey and its position. It assists in controlling buoyancy by manipulating the spermaceti oil's temperature and, consequentially, its density, facilitating deep diving by cooling and surfacing by warming, as well as allowing the animal to remain motionless at great depth.
