Mixture of traditional and digital.Edit 12.7.14 - With the suggestion of Flying Glove I took out the graphic beads of light and I must say I does look better.Β

The digitally drawn diamond is an amazing touch, but the semi-transparent rays of light coming from it don't seem to go with the rest of the composition. Other than that small thing out of place, I love this composition, especially how the white highlights in his face an the background fit in so well with the traditional parts of the drawing.

Hmmm. Thanks for the input. I did the rays of light digitally. I'll take them out and see how it looks. Your suggestion is much appreciated.

Maybe it would work better if you conveyed light coming from the diamond in a less harsh/angular way? The rest of the piece is so organic and free flowing that the harsh angles of the rays of light don't seem to match the rest of the look.
