that bleeding effect in the background is amazing - looks like a fireplace. the greatest place to enjoy a nice warm earl grey tea is near a warm fire in a cold winter night. Great job!

The detail is lovely.
I haven't painted in a long long time, so this might sound ignorant.. How do you keep the details so noticable even while using paint? When I tried to do detail, it usually came out from the water, or masked by paint.

hmm, i think useing enough little brushes and tiny amount of water makes it.. i really can't tell very well i haven't much thought about it ;3

He looks cozey, like, I wanna offer him cookies to go with that tea, and appear in an apron with the cookie tray in my hand. Or maybe serve rosemary bread? That would seem fitting... lol It really looks like he's talking to me... is that weird? He really draws me into... well... whatever the story is.
