Description Goddess Abraxas, in "dominant nymph phase" of development.

At this phase, the parasite has taken temporary control of the host body, but finding its physical capabilities lacking, worked it's biomass loose from the frame. It can adapt within a remarkable time frame, but this exausts the creature. Negative stimuli such as blunt trauma will quickly stimulate the cell growth to encase the affected area with layers of chitonous armor.

It's triped feet serve as just such a shield, but are poorly equipped for movement. When haste is required, Abraxas folds and compresses said limbs inward, and crawls on its forelimbs, dragging the ovipositor tail behind it.

Tail is prehensile and actually an extention of the spinal column. Will skewer smaller prey with barb on tail, then procees to vaccum the innards out with abdominal manibles.
