Description
Since Generican scientist/mages officially disproved god, an entire classification needed to be created for spirits, wraiths, demons, greater and lesser deities and the undead. Now understood as another misunderstood species, ghosts and other disembodied entities have been trying, with little success, to win rights and citizenship. Their efforts seem to stall because of certain societal stigmas regarding their behavior, such as the nagging problem of their diet of human blood and anguish. Still, the "differently-opacitied" as they liked to be referred, may simply outlast organic society due to their simple refusal to expire.

Ghosts such as this haunt the creepy dark places of the world, particularly abundant in the outskirts of town hit by the plague. The problem with ghosts is they are impossible to attack with conventional weaponry. Understandably they freak the hell out of poor Pageboy, who has no talent whatsoever for spellcraft and wouldn't employ it even if she did.

Fortunately at the point the Shimmering Fist encounters ghosts, they also have access to Absinth's green fire, which can burn matter on all 7 planes of existence. Still even witches such as she must take care, as their cold touch will drain her hate and slow her casting.
