Centuries of meticulous bioengineering and the result is...A bit underwhelming.
The Mutants of Metaluna. Often maligned, seldom understood, they are a hive-mind collective designed for manual labor. Why a species designed for labor would lack opposable thumbs is questionabale, but the undenyable fact is their amazing regenerative cell structure.
Mutant is an attrition combatant; it has a unique ability among fighters. Passive healing. The accellerated cell growth means the creature is always gaining health. If you punch it repeatedly, it has already recovered from the first hit while you are delivering the third. To complement this, it uses its formidable claws to pin and restrain foes, making them fight at it's lumbering pace.
The only way to defeat the Mutant is heavy concentrated burst damage, so hard hitters like Rowsdower and Javorsky are a better match than others.

Helmut Zemo: "Evil" is relative. But here's something concrete...
*Helmut Zemo pulls out a cane with a glowing gem in the tip*
Helmut Zemo: The Mind Stone...such a powerful artifact...it would have been a shame to see it go to waste after the Infinity War. The same goes for Wilson Fisk's cane...
*Helmut Zemo zaps Dr. Wheelo with the Mind Cane, taking control of Wheelo's mind*
Helmut Zemo: Dr. Wheelo is gone. Now, you are MODOK.

I love how as this series proceeds the fighters are more and more balanced like real fighting game characters, mind you probably the most complex fighting game ever...

I gotta admit I often prefer working on the monsters, because I can fiddle around with them more. You can't take as much creative license with a beloved character like Fingal or Rowsdower.
The only thing that bugs me is how damn many caucasian males there are in these films. Such is our history though...

As for Fingal an Rowsdower - yeah, there's not a lot you can do with a guy in a non-descript jumpsuit or a fellow in a jean jacket. Troxartus, though - that must have been fun to draw!

You know, I actually really like This Island Earth as a sci-fi movie. It's actually got some cool scenes that the movie cut out.
The mutant is probably one of my favorite movie aliens, right next to Zunar X5 and Robbie The Robot. He's a total badass.
