The Polanoid people gave me a pack of Zink paper before it was released, in order to test out its manipulation possibilities. I think Zink bodes well--or at least interestingly--for emulsion transfers. For this manipulation, I soaked the Zink paper in a solution of white vinegar and water for about twenty minutes. The emulsion then turned pinkish, and I moved it around with my fingers until I got the "image" I wanted. I then baked it dry in the sun (about 95 degrees Fahrenheit). The sun turned the pink pinker.Can you see the Pink Lady?

Interesting, I heard about Zink a while ago, nice to know you can use it for fun manipulation purposes too!

Yeah, I would like to try to manipulate some images printed with it, eventually. I'm not going to invest in the printer, though, unless it becomes a viable product. too expensive if they decide to stop making it!

have you ever seen mall rats? this reminds me of those images where, if you stare at them long enough, you're supposed to see a picture...but the poor guy in the movie could never see the sailboat.
