That's really beautiful, my mum just loves this picture! I like how you've made the flower look so real, with the veins on the petals and the use of purple and darker pinks for shading.

if I didn't start off with too much purple instead of black...
Black can contrast the colors better.

I'm new to the colouring stuff (just got my prismacolours

I think the same light->dark,
what I messed up on is that I put too much on first,
so later when the black is going over it,
it can't blend in to it's darkest colors.
Prismacolors is very good for blending.
but I started coloring things using crayola.
Which is what I used for this.
