Pacom medium weight 9x6'' Sketch Diary (crappy paper from Walgreens)

005 and 05 Pigma Micron pens

Bic 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil (under drawing)

Dixon Ticonderoga black HB pencil

Sakura Gelly Roll white pen
Prismacolor Premier colored pencils Spring Green, Poppy Red, Cream, white, and black

For this particular drawing, I looked at many different animal references such as alligators, crocodiles, wolves, tigers, hyenas, and parrots. The pose was totally from imagination; a drawing from a sketchbook. The style of this drawing is a little bit different from the previous dragon. This time, I laid down the colored pencils first, and then used pencil and pen to add detail, highlights, and shading afterward. The random colored pencils used where pretty light colors, so I thought adding the details later would work better. I'm not entirely happy with the results, so I'm going to forgo the pencil detailing and just use pen next time. (so scary though!) Thanks for dropping by! Hope you enjoy this piece!
