I saw this picture years ago when it was a DD and have had it in my mind ever since. I usually don't remember pictures like that often, so you obviously struck a chord within me. I have been looking for it ever since and I am so glad to have found it again. My hubby and I have been thinking about a baby for a little while now and looking at this picture just makes me want to plunge into pregnancy! It makes me feel confident and relaxed about the whole situation. This picture makes me feel serene inside... it's hard to describe. Thank you!

Ah. I remember first seeing this at Gallery 1988 in San Francisco. I went there with a friend just to see your artwork in person. ^^

I love how this comment is so late in comparison to when you actually received the DD. XD
Anyway, I have to say I really adore this picture. Everything about the image, from the controversial concept interpretation, subtle lines, absence of definite corners but rather gentle curves, and the whole idea of a precious baby animal just makes me sit in awe, but wonder its meaning all at the same time. For me, I get the unshakable feeling of gentle innoncence, one that only children seem to fully posess, and perhaps, baby animals as well. The whole idea is so pure to me, despite the combination of two different species into one. It makes me ask as to why then somebody could look at this and think anything even remotely sexual about it. I'm so sorry for the dumb comments. Art is like a piece of the artist herself, a precious birth of the imagination. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to try to react cordially to such pompous remarks.
I love it though, and many other people do to. So, congrats on the DD, congrats on a unique idea, and congrats on making so many minds stop and ponder.

i get the odd feeling that this peice is telling parents to love their children regardless of physical or mental imperfections or well species
it feels natural and endearing and tho my first reaction was not that this was beautiful, i see now that it is in it's own subtle way, a very nicely done illustration.

I saw this on daily deviation, felt an incredible urge to click because it was (understandably) reminiscent of that dear FNTM's style, of which I so enjoyed. Having checked your website today for nostalgic purposes, I discover you've returned to DeviantART?! Thank goodness. Are you still going to send notifications when you kiddos update? 'cause I had no idea you'd posted again.
I don't find this disgusting. It makes me wince a little, because the idea of a scritchy bunny coming out of that particular oriface is rather displeasing to me. But hey.
The Daily Deviation was well deserved. The lines are so wonderfully Phantom drawn, I adore it. The scratched black. So refreshing from the neatness I see.
I'm amazed at the other less...friendly comments. People have been so...utterly disrespectful, and I hope none causes you any emotional distress. It's a lovely piece, that makes you think. Think of what? I dunno. But it does cause one's brain to buzz.
I ramble.
Great job. Good to see your art.

Wow. I just read through all the comments.. and its really sad how closed off people are to anything new or different.
I remember first seeing this when your website came up.. and it had been after a period of time where you didnt have hardly any art on the internet. It was so different from your older art that I was taken aback. There has been a definate change in your art style since you started dating Graham i think. X3
It's wonderful. It's simplistic and gives off such a calm feeling. I adore it and hope people's ignorance doesn't make you think twice about posting your art here.
People also shouldn't be pressuring you for the meaning. That's for yourself to know.. and us to ponder about. haha <3

Sorry to comment again but I just can't stop thinking about what it means. A month or so ago there was an article in the newspaper about a family, two parents who are both unemployed and living on benefits, with eight children, and they live in a tiny three bedroomed house, and since next door is unoccupied, they want to use more of the taxpayers money to knock through and make one big house, and they got a hearty "Eff you!" in response...just thinking, could it be large families who are breeding like rabbits and leeching off other peoples hard earned money?
Or is it just a doodle? XD
