Headcanon time: Judging by what we're told she was like as a child, I imagine Undyne was the kind of hotheaded, emotionally-troubled kid that was a really big bully to the other kids before being taken in by Asgore. It just makes sense when you take everything into account, I think, particularly the fact that she recounts the first time she managed to lay a hit on Asgore like it was the first time she ever felt bad about hurting anybody.

If that's a popular headcanon and I've been living under a rock, then... forget that I said anything xP
