Interesting. As I understand it, Mark Evanier was a writer for The Get Along Gang as well. He hated it because they ran on the lesson that the complainer was always wrong.

Evanier's only known work for DiC was the script for what whould eventually be the pilot episode for "The Littles". It was heavily reworked by another writer to such an extent and in such a way that he asked for his name to be taken off the credits.
As for the "Buddy Bears" try googling the phrase "Straw Man". It sums them and his suspiciously light on fact and heavy on opinion posing as fact "description" of the Get Along Gang to a tee.
