I too played with the idea of Tigress taking up Shifu's mantle. The end of the first movie is probably too early for that though, in my opinion. I think Tigress still has a lot of emotional and spiritual development to undergo before she's ready for that, and Shifu himself hasn't quite filled Oogway's shoes yet. I'm also struggling with the nagging feeling that Po, as the Dragon Warrior, would more likely be the one to inherit the staff. Tigress is a strong leader, the most skilled of Shifu's students, and possibly even the most intelligent of the possible successors, but she doesn't quite possess the same level of wisdom Po does.Β
That said, I think this rendition is very moving. Tigress's expression and posture are especially powerful. I think a lot of people are tempted to give her too much emotion in instances like these, but the silent tear and slightly bowed head seem an appropriate level of sadness. I'm not sure how much of this was intentional, but her posture is also highly symbolic. The lower half of her body, which is normally defensive and vulnerable, is still arranged in a sort of defensive way, with her sitting perfectly cross-legged despite her pain. Meanwhile, the upper half of her body, which is normally very stand-offish and aggressive, is slumped forward and not as rigid as usual.
All in all, it's a great work, and I love it. Despite having written some fanfictions myself and understanding how important feedback is, I'll admit I'm quite lazy in that regard, and so it takes something particularly remarkable for me to say something. Keep it up!

I love what you have done there it really caught the eye it you've created this piece so well with all the emotion you have put into it Master Tigress is my fav Character and not many a time you see her down and sad showing emotion different story when she was a cub mind. This is the only piece of art like this I'd love to see more. I'm surprised I haven't thought of Master Tigress of becoming the master of the Jade palace. I wish Tigress would be more in the lime light more because this cocky fat panda comes along and with a thew weeks training he is better then the others and they have been training since young I wish Tigress was the main character but she's not so I need to get over it. I really look forward to your future work.

Wow, this is awesome. It's hard capturing emotion in characters, but you managed to ace it. I had a little trouble in capturing emotion in my Tigress drawing. It took a while. I love the way the leaves float off into the mountains and the moon is amazing.

My eyes! It's too awesome.
Seriously though, this is absolutely incredible. I knew you did amazing in Obsidian Blade, but I'm amazed at your skill with artwork too. I thought I'd leave a proper comment on this besides favoriting it.
It looks amazing, and I love the attention to detail. The shading on the rocks, the mist, even the moon. It makes it seem more and more real. The peach blossoms are excellent, and I appreciate the effort it took to draw them. I also really like the sky too, how it's darker on top than at the bottom. Very good touch.
And then there's Tigress. It's sad to see her cry, but it's beautifully drawn. As someone who can't draw characters, to see one done like that is so impressive.
Did you do this by hand and then on the computer or just on the computer? Either way, it's an amazing piece of artwork.
You draw as well as you write. Well done.

Perhaps Blue should look into creating some of their own stories. From what I saw, they have the talent to possibly make money off of some books.

Amazing work. Simply breathtaking! Honestly I could spout a dozen more compliments like that but none would do this justice. I'll be giving that story a look too, I'm usually not a fan of sad stories but this one looks interesting.
