Description This is the latest design for one of the golems charged with the task of protecting Bifrost Bridge in The Yggdrasil Cycle.

The golems vary in size and shape; this is just a typical example. Though not shown here, various body parts can contract and fold so that almost none of the mechanical parts can be seen, allowing the golems to hide in rock walls and cliff faces.

very nicely rendered. Organically shaped and formed in a way, yet mechanical. i like.

Love the way you made the fingers and legs. Whole idea is great imo, quite obvious yet original.
Though I don't exactly see, how it's supposed to guard anything, as it doesn't have any visible weapons. Or maybe he is really strong. Or big.
A human silhouette as a reference would be nice~

Thanks! Yeah, they're colossal, so they really just smash any intruders. I probably should have drawn a scale, but the only purpose of this was to get the design down.

this is amazing! i didn't know you were capable of this type of detailed work! i'm used to your stuff having a more cartoon-like feel to them. not that there's anything wrong with that, i'm just not nused to your work being in this style.

Hey, thanks! Yeah, The Yggdrasil Cycle is realistic now that I can draw fairly realistically. Humans are still a problem for me, though.

The sketch and idea are great. The asymmetric elements work well with the symmetric.
