g-chan — Spring's Crazy Hair.

Description I dunno how to name this. @_@;;
My character Spring. There's supposed to be Summer, Fall, Winter as well...but they're not designed yet. Spring here has CRAZY hair that's flowing all the time. She brushes it and flowers will come out. LAME, just like me.

Did this some time ago because I wanted to practice color pencils. Wanted to add a background but never did. >_<;; So I figure I'll just post it like this.

Did the hair with crayola pencils and worked REALLY hard on it. Used my art teacher's prisma color pencils and did the dress but got REAAAALLY lazy, hence the crappy coloring and boring colors. xD I waaas thinking of a spactacular multi-colored dress...but....
I hate the eye and the skin coloring. but I was in a rush.

There are SO many things wrong with this.... sniff.

-Color Pencils, pic taken with digital camera, so the light is kind of...weird. ;_;

I wish I had crazy ever-flowing hair that erupted flowers when brushed. I'd be so cool.
This drawing is crazy awesome. The hair looks fantastic, in all of it's flowyness, and the unlined strands really give it a nice touch. The dress is so pretty, I love the design. It's colors are simplistic, but it gives the overall image a bit more of a childish look, which really suits the girl's chibi style. I love the light skin complexion with the cute pink joints, I have such a soft spot for that technique Her face is so cute, I like the subtle shadow for the nose, and her lips look so soft. The eyes' color gradation is nice, but without a much, much darker or black center, the eyes seem a bit odd, in my opinion. Your style is great, but the hands seem subpar in comparison to the rest of the pic, although their childlike appearance is insanely cute :3

I love how the lights and shadows seem to blend smoothly in the hair. The folds in her clothes are good, though the lower left section of the skirt might have used a little less shakiness (It happens... >_> sigh). The vivid colors and her childish face and features really remind me of Spring! I don't think the colors are boring at all. This is a very cute piece. Great job.

You took this with a digital camera? I must admit, this must be one of the best photos of a picture. LOL. XD Well, anyway, back to the criticism: the hair looks certainly beuatiful to me; it reminds me of a flower about to bloom. But I don't understand why you were in a rush. Umm... the skin looks fine to me. I was hoping Spring to be an anthropomorphic creature. XD I think on the body (the face and arms) could have a smaller line size... I think it would look better if they were the same size as the other line-art. XD She is just adorable! Oh, but I wonder what those thingies are coming out of the dress? It looks like wings but it's at the bottom of the dress, too. I really do like this! :]]]] Draw more. Like, a lot more. lol

I was in a rush because the art teacher wanted us to clean up and put back the color pencils. T_T;; O yes... the lines...I messed up on the inking, so I had to do a thick line to cover it. xDDD I'll remember to make her more slender next time.
Those thingies are parts of little bows at the back of her dress. You know how some dresses have ribbons tied in a bow in the back?
I usually don't draw seriously like this, but if you say so... :3

Mrs....Schulenberg, I don't even know how to spell her name. I have color pencils (I used mine for the hair) but she has PRISMACOLOR. Must...take advantage....
Yeah...those bows are supposed to do something special... I think. Like drip morning dew or somethin'.
