Description
A pokemon which releases strong venom for the tip of its beak. It has only one true eye which is uses to hypnotize prey.I believe someone once ask me if I was going to make a chicken pokemon that wasn't a fighting type, yes I was.. at least technically. This Pokemon is based after a mythological creature called a "cockatrice" which is a rooster/snake hybrid of sorts. It made for an interesting type combo :>
Btw: new sheet design since most people agreed they like this one. the only major difference from the example to this one is I made it 600 pixels instead of 650 and I shrunk the tag size by 5%.

Well I liked it, but not everyone did. I tend to like stuff that everyone else hates, like Jar Jar Binks. (I think he's hilarious and that putting him in wasn't a mistake)

i made a basilisk, which is sometimes conceptualized a lot like a cockatrice but more reptilian.

I love the description and the general design, but it's sort of hard to make out the details of it's face.

I know it's face is simple, but even simple elements in relation can be confusing. At a glance it's just hard to rationalize what I assume is the beak (perhaps because of the shape of it's outline and it's being contiguous with the underside color) and the true eye.

thanks, he's not very scary when you get to know em', they may have venom but they're unaggressive except to their prey (which is usually tiny bugs).

Cockatrice is epic
I have a basalisk character named Redburn
And I read The Book of the Dun Cow
Rediculous book but the Cockatrice was like "Blitzkreig" which is the majority of German I know and it was awesome.

xD I see. I also have a cockatrice character (her name is Gee, I post art of her on my main deviantart account). Cockatrice are indeed epic, my fav design is that seen on the game Final Fantasy 12.

Ah yes i've looked at her pictures. Never knew what she was before but know I know.
This may come as a shock, but i've never played Final fantasy so I don't know much about their cockatrices
