Keeping up my MotU: Tribal Clash work, trying to expand a bit more in detail (even if these still remain rough sketches) the figures I've done here:

For who may see this for the first time, a brief sum up from my original post:

I've spent my entire childhood playing MotU with my brother and friends, and one of the brightest memories I still keep about them are those fantastic mini-comics illustrated by Alfredo Alcala: savage He-Man, the brutal villains, the barbarian feel... Beyond awesome for kid-me, and still incredibly inspiring to these days.
I'm pretty sure even the guys at Mattel - at the very beginning - didn't have a clear picture of how to develop the series, and we all know how Filmation changed it later on, so those early suggestions really got stuck in my mind.
I started from there, and tried to imagine this alternate universe where heroes and evil forces act as clans and fight against each other for anything else than survival or supremacy.

About Randor... As much as I like the idea of letting all the clans and tribes play the main role in Tribal Clash Eternia, I thought it would be interesting to juxtapose that kind of society with a bigger, properly organized kingdom, its royal family and a structured army... This would allow me to bring back and recreate a multitude of different MotU characters, otherwise quite difficult to fit in. That being said, King Randor is still father of Adora and Adam, ruler of Eternia along with his wife, Queen Marlena. In my attempt to mix his Classics and Filmation looks, I changed his silhouette to that of an older monarch at rest, to keep the grave and majestic stance of Randor intact, only viewed from a new perspective.

-> Repost because I'm going over this series again, trying to add what I've learned throughout the past few months, in terms of linework and shaping.
