Description
Another piece for "Sailor Greek/Roman Pantheon" contest over group, for the group category XDIt´s an illustration of the birth os Aphrodite, which happened after Cronos, the titan [Sailor Saturn] castrated his father, the god Uranus [Sailor Uranus] to take his place as ruler. After that, Cronos threw his testicles into the sea, which created a foam from wich Afrodites [Sailor Venus] was born.
Took a lot of time (one day for each character XD) but I like how it turned out.

I imagine that even in the original language it is spelled with a "K" but, as the contest journal was written with a "C" and, in portuguese, we write it with a "C", I chose "C" over "K".

LOL I love how Uranus is back there like "AAAAH BAH BAWLZ!!" and Cronos is like "Yeah, I'm a boss", and Aphrodite is like "Ah, beautiful life."

Cronos had to be young and vigorous, so I couldn´t draw a fragile skinny boy. I kind of took the power of Sailor Saturn and translated it into muscles. Literally XD Also, I wanted to display how I can also draw men..because most of my gallery is drawings and paintings of females XD

And if we think deeply enough, maybe those things weren´t creepy for the greek/roman people at all....older men would often have sex with very young boys and it was considered normal. In the end, we cannot judge them by our standards.

Thats true, things like incest were a common thing too, like with royal families, most of them had a certain level of inbreeding to keep it in the family as they say.
Makes me wonder how opinions about sexual preference will change down the line. I wonder if heterosexuals will be shunned or something?

I can´t really tell. I must say, though, that I can´t understand what´s the big problem "regular" people have with lgbt people. I mean, if the problem is the Bible, why shouldn´t they marry if that would never stop them from having sex (since Bible´s big problem with same-sex stuff is when they have sexual intercourse)? They just want legal marriege so they can have proper tax calculating and heritage. And I really can´t see they making mockery of us as we make of them (or at least some).

True, a lot of straight people think themselves better than others, yet a lot of them aren't Christian or are part of a religion that prohibits homosexual intercourse, people are strange.

I have a theory, thought, that they used the mythology to explain the human mind´s mysteries. Like some myths would explain meteorological phenomena, others would explain the mechanisms of the human mind and behavior. After all, they loved knowlodge.

lol Ancient pornos XD In the end, we cannot judge them by our standards. I mean, often older men would tutor very young boys and keep sexual relations with them...and it was normal untill they reached puberty with the first trace of body hair. Our moral and social standards would be very confusing for them, I imagine XD
