Description It was Umbrella Academy week in Spitballin'[link] but we did something a little different: since it was Selena's[link] turn to pick, she assigned each of us a character from the Umbrella Academy.

I was very happy to get Spaceboy since I feel my art style definitely suits the character. Tell me what you guys think.

What's Umbrella Academy?

Not that i'm an expert or anything, i have my own picture making issues, but i think it would be cool if you added a bit of colour or rendered the robot a bit differently from who i assume is Spaceboy. My eyes are finding it not so easy to see the dude's arms/hands among the giant fingers. Other than that, i like the line work!

Yeah, I kinda figured Spaceboy might get a little lost with the similar marker colours. I even tried to go a little lighter with the robot- I'm afraid my Photoshopophobia might be getting the better of me. Or I could splurge on some warm grey markers.

Paul, definitely do yourself a favour and beg, borrow or steal a tpb copy of Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite. Read it and afterwards my reply to you will be: "You're welcome".

yeah, this andreascott person sent me a link (thank you by the way). I read the brief summary and was like, crap, i have to spend money to buy another damn book! I can't help myself. I should just tell our employer to make the cheque out to Silver Snail.

You should definitely get over your photoshopophobia. It gives you options. Think of digital as another medium. Graphite, Marker, Watercolour, Digital.
