Nice. Yeah I have the same problem I'm using the comic book bristol board pages and have a small scanner. I often scan in segments two, maybe 3 times. Takes a bit of work to get it lined up right though.

I'm thinking of getting the actual comic pages with the borders. I'll work on the scanning and get it down eventually.

Love it, love working on Bristol, the beautiful smooth grain of the heavy weight paper. This is my favorite version of Punisher I think.

Thank you! It seems I've discovered this remarkable paper a bit late.

Yes, but you discovered it, that's what matters. They only reason I started using it is because an artist at a now bankrupt comics company suggested it to me way back when. Fell in love because it holds up to pigment ink, India ink, acrylic... you name it.

what advantage does bristol have?

Bristol is smooth and doesn't have the tedious imperfections that regular paper has. Also, it's much more forgiving when it comes to erasing and doesn't stain. It seems to pick up each pencil stroke without having to press very hard, making you less prone to dent the paper and cause those troublesome grooves.
Also, because it's so smooth, it's supposed to be great for inking. I haven't tried this out yet. Ink isn't supposed to spread and bleed.
Love this stuff!

It's a cool drawing, for some reason makes me think it's a bit retro style too, but to be honest, it doesn't seem like the Punisher. He looks to young and well cute.

His features are a bit too smooth and I think the youthfulness comes mainly from his hair style. It's a bit more Gambitlike. But it's got the general Punisher appearance and attitude so I decided to stick with Punisher on this one.

I do see what you mean about Gambit's hair, but I really didn't associate that. Its more the smooth features, particularly the jaw. His neck is fairly slim too, making me see it as a slim built guy. I imagine the Punisher as a fairly stocky character, and not so clean shaven either! Different takes mate.
