I feel like IX doesn't get enough love these days, but I find that there are some incredible FFIX cosplays out there! I've seen the coolest Freyas and Quinas...just amazing. Also, so many pretty Garnets!

It really doesn't get the attention it deserves. If I had to pick a FF game to have as a favourite, it'd be FFIX. The story is just really strong, and I really love all the characters. The music is so well done, the new HD remaster makes me love it all the more. I just wish I saw more Amarant in the fandom, haha; however small it is. But damn you're right. There are tons of fantastic Freya, Quina, and Garnet cosplayers. And an awesome Beatrix. :3

I think IX is the best one, though I think XII is probably my absolute favorite. But IX's story is better and the characters are so lovable. Definitely has a great score as well.

Are you happy about Zodiac? I've been playing it like mad, and I'm falling in love with it all over again. Hard not to love Fran, Baltier, and Basch, heh. My only argument against FFIX is they didn't give Amarant much. He and Quina got cut off a little, but I think a remake like FFVII would do it justice.

It is tragic but I actually don't have a PS4 yet ;_; I am honestly thinking of buying one specifically for the Zodiac Age. How are you liking it? I've heard they upgraded the board where you choose abilities (??) Sooooo agreed that Fran, Balthier and Basch make the game. Ashe was a great strong lead as well. Penelo was adorable! Vaan was...well...Vaan. He was kinda what Zidane and Titus were in their respective games, except that Zidane was funny and Titus was occasionally profound-ish. I really loved Gabranth in XII too. The Judges were so awesomely evil...beautiful armor designs *swoons*


Agreed! Amarant needed more  screen time. He came around a bit too quickly I think, he was all "I r badass maverick, fear me, I h8 u" one second, and then not too far along he was all enlightened and like "I see why you fight for your friends!" But I think that happened because he joins the party so late. He's awesome, and ahhh Quina...love Quina's abilities. Eating monsters & gaining their abilities? So cool.

JiaJem has a facebook, her Beatrix stuff is best found on her old cosplay.com account, Rose of May is on here. Her costume is so gorgeous! I went for the in-game interpretation, whereas hers is more cinematic. Soooo pretty. I think Jia's is more in game.

If you can save up the money and manage the purchase, I suggest it. They have much clearer graphics, they added in a two job system, and so on. I always loved the game, but it's been a long time since I played the original. So I'm not as sure as to what they changed. 

Definitely make the game. My OT3, haha. 

Vaan... always felt off to me. I think it's because he was made out to be the main character, but after you meet Basch and get back together with Ashe, he really veers off and stops having any real character development. It's almost like the game splits in too. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but it always felt a little off. Penelo gets shoved to the background too, unless Larsa pops back up. I completely agree! AMAZING designs for the clothes and characters. Espeically the armour for the judges. Gabranth was definitely one of my favourites. It helps that he's Basch's twin, haha. 

I do think Amarant was done a disservice by showing up too late in the game. It's not like he really comes round to Zidane so quickly, it's just that there's no real build up over it. I'll admit, I have a soft spot for the characters out of the glow of the limelight. So Quina and Amarant were big sellers for me, haha.

I probably will then! I've held off on the PS4 for this long because nothing I wanted was exclusive to it. I keep hoping they'll bring the remaster to Steam ;_;

Yes! That's exactly what the problem with Vaan was. He and Penelo start the game strong but then fade into the background. Then again it's a little tough to stand out when you've got Fran and Balthier as competition so....Penelo does really only advance the Larsa subplot along. I did love getting the 4th party members now that I think about it. I'd always grind like crazy when they were in my party.

There are a few really fun games for the PS4, but it's been slow going for me as well. I recently bought Star Ocean, because I really love the series. It ended up being a really nice game. I'm glad I have it for FFXII too. 

Fran and Balthier were big personalities, that Vaan and Penelo couldn't keep up. Not that I minded much, but that's because I really like Fran and Balthier. Everyone's character arcs were held toward the end of the game while Vaan and Penleo got used up in the first half. But yes! I LOVED having the 4th member. I would end up doing Hunts and leveling up with them too. It made it easier, haha.

Same! I think the strong characters were enough to carry the weak ones. The same cannot be said in the more recent installments in the franchise in my opinion

Thank ya! My latest content here/there will be Lightning, but I am not sure about how you feel about that game. While I could not follow the story in XIII to save my life (and confession time, I actually didn't even finish the very last boss fight partly out of apathy and partly because I somehow had not grinded enough to be successful), I did love the designs and their intricacy. (Though I guess games like Overwatch now put the "intricacy" in XIII to shame!) Visually it was stunning. Plot wise, and gameplay wise....well...you can imagine my feelings there. I tried XIII-2, cute monster battles but...well I never finished that one either. I don't even know how far I got.
