she's my experimental character when i try to do cartoon, but cant shake all my manga style . i guess that goes vise versa for my manga having major influence form cartoon styling

Yeah, it looks good though Nothin wrong with a little anime popping up here and there! When I was 13/14 I used to draw in an anime style and I still sometimes draw chibi-lookin things with huge eyes! It's fun and cute haha

the odd thing is that anime just crept into my style one day. it was a friend that said i draw in anime style, i was in denial for a while, but i have accepted it now. here's latest upload of her, trying even harder to escape the anime look fav.me/d6ghq06

Yeah, it's so prevalent in modern cartoons it's hard to escape it. The way to diverge from it is to draw from life and learn real human anatomy. The anime style is a particular distortion of human proportions that a lot of people have adopted in their work, but you can really distort them however you want once you learn them. But if you don't study from life you are borrowing other interpretations (like those of anime) to learn how to draw. So if you really want to get away from it, there's an idea! I think this drawing looks cool though, if you don't like drawing in the anime style that is totally subjective
