My mistake was to go straight into Comics without doing Teacher training...I have taught classes in College and Youth Work but I do not have the qualification for School - teaching.Good luck with both your career choices. Have you heard of the American Comic strip artist - Don Newton? He died in 1984 I think, but he was an Art Teacher but drew his comics during Free periods and at lunch - time!? He drew the Phantom for Charlton comics and Batman for Dc Comics. A brilliant artist.

maybe is not a mistake man .. mistake i think is when we look back , see what was done wrong and in a new oportunit do everityin wrong again. you stoped with comics or you are doing as Don Newton, work in comics and other thing together?

i never heard about hin. i will take a look in some images in the internet.

i dont know if i will be abusive man ,but i see that you are not so young...hehe .. i mean... you probaly are with 40 or 50 year ...i am right?

i want to know if you can help me in my gratuate last work.i am writing about the influence and introduction os caracteristics of mangfas in the usa comics.i just will make you some questions and you aswering it will help me a lot. i sent email to erik larsen , frank miler, mike deodato , grabiel ba , fabio mom and rafael granpa. i have an aswer of erik larsen and i ma very happy for this, in first place because i see that he realy exist.. hehe....and in second place because his words will help me a lot in my work.

if you dont answer it i undestand .. heheh ...sometimes i talk a lot... heheeh.. i have a friend of san diego and she know me very well... she know that sometimes i can be boring . hehheh...i ma a brazilian man that is very facinated with usa culture.. movies , comics , tv series all... i dont speak and write inglesh very well as you can see.. hehe..and when i have some good oportunity to have a extense conversation with someone that lives there i try dont lost it ... i just it me a hope i dont scary you .. heheh teh question is ;

1 - what is your earliest memory of a magazine or designer with some traits or characteristics of manga in the United States comics?

2 - when this "invasion" became apparent and what artists do this?

3 - which proportions it took and how this relationship now? more artists have brought these caracteristics to their work or it is already over?

thank you very much man .. and i realy hope you dont angry or something with me and i realy hope you answer me .. hehe .. see you ..

Sorry - I have no interest or knowledge to interest you.If you are serious and not a spammer, which I think you might well be, then get a friend to translate for you because you probably wont get many responses from the artists you mentioned if they struggle to understand your questions.

no man i am not a spammer.. can belive it.. and i am very surprised because when i must to say something more serious i go in the google translater and make some corrections.. this question is realy to my last work in the university.. and i thought that it was doing some sense... when i told you that erik larsen answer me i ma not lying.. i think that he understood very well my quastions...but no prob man .. i see that you are a very busy man .. and maybe have not time to this kind of bullshit...realy no problem.. but i think that is important you know that i ma not a spammer, my real name is not Jesus Nazarenuz, maybe this kind of thing made you got in the defensive, and all fat version that you can see here was me that made...

but all right ... is very good talk with some one that make a good work , and i understand if you cant or wont helpme ...and thank you for point me some thing that maybe not make sense in my question i will take a look in this because this is very important...see you man..

I have to confess to being old enough to remember watching the first creaking B&W Dr Who series in the 1960's and how exciting a show it became when the Daleks made their debut.

I really like this a lot. Shame you had to include the Colin Baker incarnation. lol. Still you redeemed yourself by including a Drakonian. One of my favourite aliens from the Pertwee years.

Colin Baker was a brilliant Doctor! He was stuck with horrible scripts and bad directors! Colin didn't have much to work with after all that. He was a wonderful Doctor only disliked because of the brash change and loud coat

Yeah, I'm really only familiar with the new series. Out of the old series, all I know are the various regenerations of the Doctor and Master.

But, that doesn't stop me from knowing it's still a well done picture.
