this is what I found when I was looking at NarutoI think that masashi kishimoto idea was to make gaara have a punk/rock style. And I think thats AWESOME >///<
I did think of gaara as a rock/punk charecter before I did see this XD
NOTIS:
you only see this if you have naruto volume 1-7 afther that it is gone TT_TT

I think he removed the earrings because of the sand shield protects him from harm and because kankuro uses the line "No ones ever been able to touch him" seeing as he most likely doesn't know how to pierce his own ears........BUT DAMMIT I LIKE THEM SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! they amplified the hottness that was already present. such a shame there gona now ;(
