For once, I had more fun drawing the background than the characters... go figure and to be honest, I don't really like the final rendering but it took me so much time to even get to that, that I just thought "eh, fuck it."

So I've been thinking about something juicy... what if Konstantin (the guy on the picture and villain of Rise of the tomb raider) had survived Siberia and tried thwarting Trinity's plans in Mexico before having to make an alliance with Croft?

ok so the beginning would go like this;

Konstantin survived the fire in RotTR and found out that all that he held dear had been destroyed. He also found out that Ana was killed by Trinity. That sent him on a desperate and vengeful path to Mexico. There he could overhear Rourke and Domingez talking about the dagger and the box and what they do. Konstantin could get the idea that finding and using the dagger could make Trinity go mad and (possibly) bring his sister back to life. (and not ill. That'd be better)
He would then try and beat Trinity out but ended up with an riddle he didn't have the answer to. That's when Croft enters the picture. Konstantin might have sneaked in the tomb where the dagger lays before Croft does but can't find a way to find the artifact. When Croft arrives, he hides in the shadows and listen closely to what she says about the prophecy that's written on the tomb's walls.
She takes the dagger, starts the Cleansing and when she reaches Jonah, they have an argument. But at the end, Jonah decides not to give into her craziness and stays with the civilians to help while Lara goes on her own.
Konstantin could take advantage of that and, since he's pretty handy with a chopper or small plane, he might find a way to apply as a co-pilot to Miguel. Just like in the game, the plane would crash in the jungle and Miguel and Konstantin would find themselves in the jaguar's playground. Konstantin might throw Miguel in their paws to buy himself some time and flee to where the end of the plane is. There he would find Lara's axes etc.. and when she arrives he stuns her and ties her up. She would have no weapon and would have to follow Konstantin to Kuwaq Yaku. There they will have to cooperate and the tables will turn when Lara tries to outsmart Konstantin and gets herself in trouble with a big Jaguar.
Konstantin would fire at the thing with the flare-gun and throw the bow and arrows at Lara.

I came up with a bit more than that but I'll keep it hidden just in case I end up writing this as a fanfiction.
