Description I procrastinated like crazy this year and ended up only having 2 1/2 weeks to work on this.

I technically finished BUT didn't have time to coat the legs in fiberglass (that would have made them strong enough to support cables so that I could "animate" them with my hands)

When the weather gets warmer again I will be doing that as I LOVE this costume!!!

BTW - Can you see the "Nuada" influences? HAHAHAHA!!!

This is a mash of most of the parts I made. I apologize for the mass copyright on the pic but I had an issue with someone remaking something of mine and claiming it as their own so I just wanted to make it clear should that issue happen again.

aww thanks - im not very good at tuts - let me see.. the boots explanation is lower in the comments now.

This whole thing was basically an experiment with using only what was already in my pile of a room

*The shoulder piece - was wonderflex(tho you could use cardboard)cut to shape and bent to shape. Covered in fabric and then sealed with two layers of 2 part clear epoxy resin.

*The neck piece - was carved from leather

*The crown - again I used wonderflex BUT could easily have used cardboard (i just happened to have scraps of wonderflex and i like cutting that more than I like cutting cardboard) ALL the detail on the crown was just dripped hot glue and painted with acrylic paints - sealed with mod podge.

*Bracers - just like the boots (below) but on wax paper so I could peel it up when dry

*Bodice - was fun foam and hot glue strips from a mold I made for Prince Nuada's spear [link] (
the details were too cool to not use again) all sewn, glued and painted on to a base corset in the shape I wanted.

*The Belt/s were made just like the boots but added metal bits

*The Sword - in this case i wanted a lighted sword (which it does light up purple) i found a cheap plastic one at a halloween store that was a nice shape and was hollow. I cut the handle off and tossed that. Cut details in to the blade where I wanted lights to show through and sanded the whole thing until there was no more pre-existing paint - Shoved battery operated lights inside the blade leaving the on off switch and battery case accessible as the base of the handle.

Added a thick piece of cardboard on the side of the case and into the inside of the blade and screwed it in place. Used aluminum foil to sculpt the handle - sealing the "sculpture" with mod podge to hold it all in place. Then covered the whole thing with aluminum duct tape.

*The wig is actually two wigs One as the base and the I used to lace the front and the parts that hang in front of the ears as well as add fullness to the back.

I think thats most of it - if i didnt explain anything enough just ask - and I can try to clarify

sorry for the long wait... THANKS and it was pretty easy much like paper mache.

I had a very torn up pair of boots - I stuffed them with newspaper and used strips of fabric drenched in a water/fabric glue mix and wrapped them on th eold boots - used other pieces of fabric for detail (the spider is painted hot glue)

Once dry I bent the crap outta them to make sure they weren't too stiff/brittle then I added several (several) more layers (painted on) of the water/glue mixture (when dry bent them between layers) and when I got to the point where I was really overly bored doing layers I decided they were done and painted them with fabric paint thinned with acrylic paint lol.

On these I had to glue new soles to them (as the under boots were really old and broken)

They held up really well - they were a bit stiff and pokey near the top but overall I am really happy with them.

Im not great at tuts so I hope this makes sense. If not ask
