Well, she is looking pretty nice for animation test :3 which is awesome ^u^

Thanks, I'm mostly just unhappy with how I rigged her eye lids. which was with key shapes and drivers. I wanted a bone based rig like the professional rigs used by the blender Institute but I can't get it to work well with her giant oddly shaped eyes

You're very welcome Oh, I see, it is very hard there you've tried >.< You can keep trying or not for figuring out to fix the eyes or something something you do >w>

Oh i know that problem. Seems to be a huge issue regarding non spherical eyes in general - be it when using bones or trying to import to unity.

Also a huge issue regarding of rigging the eys themselves - how do you do that? I tried projections but that doesnt work for exports to Unity3D. Recently found a workaround with locked scale bones , dont' know if you ever tried it !

The eyes are spheres that I shape with the lattice deform modifier. To rig them I use a ik chain to have one bone point at a controller bone and use a copy rotation constraint on the eyes. It's a bit overly complicated but it works although it can't be exported to unity. I think I've heard of the locked scale bones thing but I haven't tried it. I probably will have to use it if I ever port my models to unity. Giant non spherical eyes really are massive pain

Lattices are not very fun. I had to do a lot of messing around for the contours to match

yeah the eyes on my pony still deform weirdly when I rotate them. I just kind of live with it.

Are your lattice modifiers set before or after the armature influence? Also try adjusting the interpolation of each dimension of the lattice. Use as few subdivisions as you can get away with. Also try setting it to "Outside Only"; seems to help

I think it's set after. I'll play with your recommendations, thanks!
